Bell goes "big" to celebrate new tourist attraction

The Western Downs town of Bell is going big this weekend to celebrate the unveiling of its new tourism attraction the 'Big Blade'.

Free giant games, jumping castle, sausage sizzle and a range of supersized activities will be on offer at the 'Big Blade' grand reveal this Saturday, 16 November, from 10am to 12pm, at the historic Bell Railway Station site.

2024 Customer Contact Centre Hours

On Display Indefinitely

Council wishes to advise that on the second Tuesday of every month commencing Tuesday 12th of March, the Customer Contact Centre will be closing slightly earlier at 3pm. This includes the phone team and Dalby, Chinchilla & Tara Customer Service Centre front counter operations.

Wandoan Scout Den Relocation

On display until 02 December 2024

Council wishes to advise that it has been approached by the Juandah Heritage Society to donate the Wandoan Scout Den, outhouse and flagpole to the Society for the removal, preservation and use of the building at their site.

Repaint of Boonarga Cactoblastis Memorial Hall

On display until 25 November 2024

External painting works will be commencing at the Boonarga Cactoblastis Memorial Hall located on the Warrego Highway roughly 11km east of Chinchilla, from 1 November 2024.

Works are expected to be completed within 3 weeks. Council thanks you for your patience during this time.
